Find places and routes on a map

Purpose

Kian has a washing machine to deliver across Tehran this afternoon and wants to know how long the drive will take in traffic. Ask the agent for a place or a route in Iran, and the answer comes back as a map you can look at right in the chat.

Before you start

Maps cover Iran only. You can write names in Persian or English, and a coordinate pair such as "35.7,51.4" works too. Every place search and every route counts as one map request against a daily allowance of your plan: 1 a day on the Free plan, 10 on Go, 20 on Plus and 30 on Pro, Team and Organization. The allowance is per person in the workspace, and a request also counts if it fails or finds no results. The day starts at 00:00 UTC. Maps are not available in Data Privacy Mode (see Use Data Privacy Mode).

Steps

  1. In a chat, ask in plain words, for example "Find pharmacies near Vanak Square, Tehran" or "How long does it take to drive from Vanak Square to Tajrish?". Add the city to names that could be ambiguous. The tool line shows "Search places" or "Get directions" while the agent works.
  2. For a place search, the card shows a map with the places found, and below it a numbered list with each name and address and how many places were found. Select a place to show it on the map. "Open in Neshan" opens the location of the first result in a new tab.
  3. For directions, the card shows the map with the route and, below it, the travel time and distance, the vehicle ("Car" or "Motorcycle"), whether live traffic is used ("Live traffic" or "Without traffic"), the main road ("Via [road]") and the "From" and "To" places. Select "Route steps" to open the list of turns. "Start in Neshan" opens the route in a new tab.
  4. To change the result, say what to change, for example "Now by motorcycle" or "Without traffic".
  5. In Telegram and Bale, the agent sends the map as a picture instead of an interactive card.

Expected result

The answer is short because the card carries the details: the agent names the best place or gives the time and distance, and the map shows the rest. The card stays in the chat.

Troubleshooting

Problem What to do
"Map preview is not available right now" The map picture could not load. The places or route details below it are still correct, and the Neshan link opens the full map.
The agent answers without a map and says the daily map limit is reached Your plan's daily allowance is used. It resets at 00:00 UTC. See Understand plans and usage limits.
The agent says maps are not available in a private chat Data Privacy Mode applies, so maps are off. Ask in a chat that is not private.
A place or an address is not found Add the city or area, check the spelling, or give the place as "latitude,longitude". Coordinates must be inside Iran.
