Chat Automation
Purpose
At lunchtime Neda steps away from her desk, and customers' delivery and warranty questions keep arriving on Telegram. Let your agent reply to other people on your behalf, and set how it behaves.
Before you start
Connect Telegram in "Login options". In Telegram itself, open Settings, then Chat Automation, connect the official bot and allow it to reply. You can prepare the instructions and tools here first.
Steps
- Open Settings, then "Telegram", then "Chat Automation".
- Turn "Allow automated replies" on or off. It is saved at once. The text under the switch reports whether the connection permits replies, whether it belongs to another workspace, or whether the setup in Telegram is still missing. "Allow automated replies" must also be on; the guidance alone does not mean automation is enabled.
- Under "Agent behavior", select "Instructions" to write how the agent should reply. It shows "Custom" once set and "Not set" before.
- Select "Plugins & tools" to choose which tools the agent may use for automated replies.
Expected result
When everything is set, the agent replies to others on your behalf using the instructions and tools you chose. These settings apply only to Chat Automation and do not change your own conversations with the agent. Turning the switch off stops automated replies but does not disconnect your account.
Troubleshooting

| Messages are not answered | Messages awaiting processing for 24 hours or more are not handled. Ask the sender to send a fresh message. |
| "Some settings could not be loaded." | Select "Retry". |
| The agent does not reply | Check that "Allow automated replies" is on and the bot is allowed to reply in Telegram. |
