Active sessions

Purpose

Sara signed in on a computer at the shop and walked away without signing out. See every device where your account is signed in, and sign out the ones you do not recognize.

Before you start

Sign in to your own account. Sessions belong to your account, not to one workspace.

Steps

  1. Open Settings, then "Active Sessions". The row on the Settings home shows how many sessions you have.
  2. "THIS DEVICE" lists the session you are using now, marked "Online". "OTHER ACTIVE SESSIONS" lists the rest, newest activity first, each with the device, browser, system, approximate location and when it was last active.
  3. Select a session to open "Session details": IP address and the time you signed in. For your own device you can only select "Close".
  4. For another device, select "End session" to sign it out, or "Cancel" to leave it signed in.
  5. To sign out every other device at once, select "End all other sessions" under "THIS DEVICE", then confirm in "End all other sessions?". You stay signed in on this device.

Expected result

An ended session disappears from the list and that device is signed out. Your account and workspaces are not deleted. When nothing else is signed in, the page says "No other active sessions".

Troubleshooting

Problem What to do
The location looks wrong Locations are approximate and come from the IP address. A VPN or proxy can show a different place.
"No active sessions" or "Your current sign-in may have just expired." Reload the page and sign in again if asked.
"Could not end the session. Please try again." Reload the session list. If the session is still listed, try ending it again.
You do not recognize a device End its session, then change your password in Login options.
