Edit profile

Purpose

Mina would like Agentum to call her by the name she actually uses, and to show her photo next to it. Here you change your name, what Agentum calls you, your birthday and your profile photo.

Before you start

Sign in to your own account. Name and photo belong to your account, so they are the same in every workspace.

Steps

  1. Open the account menu in the sidebar and choose Settings (or use the Open settings shortcut listed under Keyboard). Under Account, select Profile.
  2. Select your picture or the Full name row. The Edit profile page opens.
  3. Type your name in Full name, up to 80 characters. Use the x at the end of the field to clear it; a blank name cannot be saved.
  4. In What should Agentum call you?, type the name Agentum should greet you by and use in its replies, up to 40 characters. If you leave it empty, Agentum uses the first word of your full name. Once a name is saved here you can change it but not remove it.
  5. To add a birthday, choose a Calendar (Persian or Gregorian), a Month and a Day. Only the month and day are kept. Select the x (Clear birthday) to remove it.
  6. To set a photo, select Change photo (or the picture) and choose an image file of at most 3.5 MB.
  7. To remove a photo, select the x on the picture (Remove photo).
  8. Select Save at the top.

Expected result

You return to the previous page and your new name, preferred name, birthday and photo appear. After you remove the photo, a default person icon is shown.

Troubleshooting

Problem What to do
Save is greyed out Save is enabled only when the full name is not blank, something changed, a saved preferred name has not been emptied, and a birthday has both a month and a day (or neither). It is also disabled while a photo is being read ("Reading photo…") or while saving.
"Choose an image file." The file is not an image. Choose a picture file.
"Choose an image smaller than 3.5 MB." Pick a smaller image.
"Unable to read this image. Please try another file." Choose a different file.
"Your name was saved, but the photo was not." The name is saved. Open Edit profile again and retry the photo.
