Charts, documents and artifacts in a chat

Purpose

Parisa needs a one-page price list for the shop window, and Neda needs a chart for Sara's review meeting. Ask the agent for a chart, a downloadable document or a small web page, and use the result right in the chat.

Before you start

Open a chat and describe what you want. Include the data or attach the file the agent should use (see Attach files to a chat). Images are covered in Generate an image.

Steps

  1. Ask for the result, for example "Make a bar chart of monthly sales from the attached file", "Write this as a Word document" or "Build a one-page HTML price list of our washing machines". The tool line shows "Render chart", "Render advanced chart" or "Create document" while the agent works.
  2. A chart appears in the reply. Use "Save as image" to save a chart. Charts with axes also offer zoom controls ("Zoom", "Undo zoom" and "Reset"). Standard charts include a data table for screen readers. While it is being prepared you see "Loading chart", and if the data cannot be drawn the chat says "Chart data could not be displayed".
  3. A document appears as a card with the file name, the type ("PDF", "Word document", "Excel workbook", "PowerPoint presentation", "CSV" or "Markdown"), its size and, if known, the page count. Select "Download" to save it. PDF documents also have "Preview" to look at them first.
  4. Longer text, a web page, a vector drawing, a diagram or code can appear as an artifact card with a title and a type ("Markdown", "HTML", "SVG", "Mermaid" or "Code"). Select "Open" to show it in the "Artifacts" panel.
  5. In the panel, choose "Preview" or "Source" for HTML, SVG and diagrams. "Copy" copies the content, and "Download" saves it as a file. The panel shows which version you are viewing, for example "Revision 2 of 3"; when it is not the newest, "Latest" jumps to it. Select "Close" to hide the panel.
  6. To adjust a result, say what to change, for example "Make the chart a line chart" or "Add a page with the totals". The agent makes a new version.

Expected result

The chart, document or artifact stays in the chat, so you can come back to it later. Math formulas in an answer appear as typeset math instead of raw symbols.

Troubleshooting

Problem What to do
"Chart data could not be displayed" Ask the agent to create the chart again and check that the data is complete.
"PDF generation is unavailable. Try another document format." Ask for a Word document or another format instead.
"The document could not be created. Please try again." Send the request again, or ask for a simpler document.
"This artifact is no longer available" Ask the agent to create it again.
"Preview is not available for this file type." Download the file and open it with another application.
Preview of an HTML artifact is empty Open "Source" to see the code, or ask the agent to fix the page.
"This preview tried to open another page and was stopped. Nothing else was loaded." The page tried to send you to another address, so Agentum stopped it. Ask the agent to make the page without links that open other pages.
"Image from an outside site was blocked. Open it" Agentum does not load pictures from outside sites inside an answer. Select the line to open the picture in a new tab, or ask the agent to attach the image as a file.
