Telegram in Settings
Purpose
Neda answers customers on Telegram all day, so she wants her agent right there too. See whether your Telegram account is connected and open the two ways your default agent works in Telegram: the official bot, and Chat Automation.
Before you start
Connect Telegram first, in Settings under "Login options". Until then the two options below stay greyed out.
Steps
- Open Settings, then "Telegram". The row on the Settings home says "Connected" when your account is linked.
- Under "Connection", the "Telegram account" row shows your Telegram username (or name), or "Not connected". Select it to open "Login options" and connect or disconnect.
- When connected, select "Telegram Application Bot" ("Chat with your default agent.") to open its settings page. There, select Open in Telegram when available.
- Select "Chat Automation" ("Let your agent reply to others on your behalf.") to set up automated replies.
Expected result
The page shows your connection and opens the bot page or the Chat Automation page. The message "Connect Telegram to configure these features." shows while you are not connected.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| The two options are greyed out | Connect Telegram in "Login options" first. |
| "Some settings could not be loaded." | Select "Retry". A failed load can look like a disconnected account. |
| The account shows "Not connected" but you did connect | Reload the page, then open "Login options" to check the link. |
