Model
Purpose
Kian already has access to a model he trusts and would like to use it in Agentum. Add a model of your own, or edit one you already added, so it can be chosen as a default model and in chats.
Before you start
Sign in and select your workspace. You need permission to use models. Sharing a model with the workspace also requires permission to manage workspace models. Ask your administrator if access is denied.
Steps
- Open the account menu in the sidebar and choose Settings (or use the Open settings shortcut listed under Keyboard). Under Customization, select Models, then Add model.
- Choose a Provider from the dropdown.
- Enter a Display name (up to 200 characters) and the Model identifier (up to 200 characters), the identifier the provider uses for the model.
- Choose the Scope: Seat private (only you) or Workspace (everyone in the workspace).
- Under Capabilities, tick at least one type of task the model supports.
- Under Connection, use the connection option supplied for your model and enter any required address (Base URL) and access key (API key). The API key can contain up to 1,000 characters.
- Under Privacy, turn on "This model's server and hosting are inside Iran" only if that is true. Agentum trusts this declaration and does not check it. The switch is available only for a model with its own base URL. A private model can be used where Data Privacy Mode applies (see Use Data Privacy Mode).
- Under Pricing, optionally choose a Unit (Tokens, Characters, Seconds, Requests or Images) and enter an Input rate and Output rate. Enter non-negative rates in $ per unit.
- Select Save at the top.
To edit an existing model, open its page. Provider and Scope are read-only; change the other fields and select Save. Leave the API key field empty to keep the existing key.
Expected result
You return to the Models page. The model is saved. It appears in compatible model lists only when your plan and workspace permissions allow it; an administrator may need to permit it.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| Save is greyed out | Save needs a provider, a Display name, a Model identifier and at least one capability. If your connection option needs a Base URL and an API key, those are required too. |
| The Provider dropdown says "No providers available" | No provider can be used for new models right now. Try again later or ask a workspace owner or admin. |
| "Check the model details." | One of the fields is not valid. Check the Base URL and the rates. |
| The error says you cannot add workspace models | Switch Scope to Seat private, or ask your administrator to add it or to grant the permission. |
| "Unable to save model." | Check your connection and try again. |
| "This model is no longer available." or "Model details could not be loaded." | The model was removed or cannot be read. Go back to Models and try again. |
| "You do not have permission to edit this model." | Ask your administrator for access. |
| "Some settings could not be loaded." | Select "Retry". |
| The Privacy switch is greyed out | A model can be marked private only if it has its own address (Base URL). Models that Agentum provides are marked by SynOps. |
