Start from Agentum's starter skills

Purpose

Parisa writes Nilgoon's Instagram captions every week and starts from a blank page each time. Agentum provides a library of ready-made skills for jobs like this one. Add the ones you want to your workspace, read what is inside, and let your agents follow them, instead of writing every skill yourself.

Before you start

Sign in and select your workspace. A skill is a bundle of instructions and files an agent loads when a request matches it; it never gives an agent new tools.

Steps

  1. Open "Skills" in the sidebar and choose "Agentum" in "Skill filter". These skills are provided by Agentum, are the same in every workspace, and cannot be changed.
  2. The starter skills, as the list groups them:
    • "Productivity": "Brand voice" (writes in your business's own voice and builds a voice guide from your samples), "Daily brief" (priorities, schedule and open items in one short brief), "Duplicate finder" (repeated rows in a list, with a merge suggestion), "Executive summary" (a long text turned into a short summary), "Format updates for chat" (messages for Telegram and Bale with correct right-to-left layout), "Handoff to a human" (spots when a person must take over and prepares a handoff summary), "Instagram post creator" (Reel scripts, carousels and captions), "Meeting actions" (decisions, actions, owners and deadlines from meeting notes), "Rewrite and refine" (polishes a text without changing what it says), "Create a skill with my agent" (see "Create a skill with your agent"), "Social post creator" (post variants for each platform in your brand voice) and "X post creator" (X posts, replies and threads).
    • "Sales": "Prospect finder" (finds businesses that fit your ideal customer, checks their sites and drafts a first message for each, for you to approve and send).
    • "Research": "Smart web research" (checks several web sources and reports findings with links and confidence).
  3. Select a skill to open its page. "Bundle contents" lists its files, and the guide opens in your interface language. The "Information" button (an i icon) opens a window with the publisher ("Agentum"), version, files and installs.
  4. Select "Add" (or the plus button on the row). Then "Try in chat" opens a new chat; ask for a task that needs the skill, for example "Write an Instagram Reel script about Nilgoon's weekend discount on refrigerators." The button does not select the skill automatically.
  5. To use it in a custom agent, switch it on in the agent's "Skills" section (see "Give an agent skills"). The default agent uses added, enabled skills automatically.
  6. To take a starter skill off your workspace, open the menu on its row or page and choose "Remove skill". You can add it again at any time.

Expected result

An added starter skill is available to the default agent, and to any custom agent that has it switched on. Agents read its instructions only when a request needs them. Removing it stops agents from using it in new runs.

Troubleshooting

Problem What to do
A starter skill is not in the list Choose "Agentum" in "Skill filter" and clear the search.
"Add" is disabled The skill is disabled. Pick another one.
The skill is added but a custom agent does not use it Switch it on in the agent's "Skills" section and save the agent.
You want to change a starter skill Starter skills cannot be edited. Create a workspace skill of your own (see "Create or upload a workspace skill").
